Are you a low-to-moderate income resident in need of home repairs on your property?

The City assists qualified homeowners with repairs to help reduce existing safety and health related code violations.

Keep in Mind

  • The City will inform you in writing if the property is being denied based on the initial review,  but you will have 30 days to contest that denial with new documentation.

Determine if you qualify

Keep in mind, the City is not able to offer assistance if:

  • You do not own and occupy your own home.
  • Your home is a townhouse, condominium, mobile home or trailer.
  • Your home is not located within the Orlando city limits.
  • The home is not the principal residence of the owner.
  • Your home has outstanding property tax, home insurance, utilities, or mortgage payments.
  • Your home has any illegal additions (additions made without proper permits).

Calculate and document your household income

Get copies of pay stubs for the members of your household and calculate your total household income. 

Join the waiting list

If your application passes initial review, you will be placed on the program's wait list for assistance. Expect the City to follow up within 3-6 months. The City can only move as quickly as State and Federal funds become available. 

If eligible, complete full application

If you are eligible and funding becomes available, the City will send you a form to apply for specific improvements. You will have 30 days to return the application and provide all of the required documentation.
